PSL Final: Islamabad United beat Multan Sultans off final ball to win third title

Islamabad United has won the Pakistan Super League beating Multan Sultans by two wickets in Karachi last night.

Batting first, Multan Sultans scored 159 runs for the loss of nine wickets in allotted twenty overs.

In reply, Islamabad United achieved the target for the loss of eight wickets in the allotted twenty overs.

Imad Wasim was declared player of the match while Shadab Khan as player of the series.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has congratulated the Islamabad United team for winning 9th Pakistan Super League.

In a statement, the Prime Minister said both teams played a fabulous game and this is the victory of whole nation.

He said that PSL provided recreation to the cricket lovers and helped revive the international cricket in Pakistan.

Shehbaz Sharif also lauded the Pakistan Cricket Board, security forces, administration, all the organizers and the spectators for ensuring the success of the PSL 9.

The Prime Minister reiterated that the government is determined to take all-out measures for promotion of cricket and other sports in the country.
