LAHORE - Karachi Basketball Association (KBBA) President Ghulam Muhammad Khan has announced the 18-member Karachi team for the National Basketball Girls Championship which will start from October 3 in Islamabad. The team, which was announced after four days trials, will be led by Laiba Tabriz. Other selected players include Maryam Zuberi, Roshela Turner, Noor Fatima, Haiqa Nadeem, Fatima Amir, Rida Fatima, Yamna Sultani, Afnan Imran, Tanzil Shahid, Cameron Trims, Kainat Chishti, Hamna Khan, Rafia Khalid, Ayesha Zia, Jafraz, Yusra Khokhar and Ayesha Chishti. Team manager is Usman Khawaja and Zaima Khatun is the coach. The team will leave for Islamabad on October 1. The selected players have been instructed to report at the Abdul Nasir International Basketball Court on September 26 at 4pm. Meanwhile, the team’s tour has been sponsored by Shakeel Ahmed, CEO of Har Pul Tash Chai. The team kit will be unveiled on Sep 28 by Commissioner Karachi Muhammad Iqbal Memon at his office at 3pm.
