Top national athlete Shajar Abbas wins Fastest Man Race 100 Meter

LAHORE - Pakistan’s top national athlete Shajar Abbas emerged as winner in the 1st Aitchison Fastest Man Race (100m) held here at the Aitchison College Lahore on Saturday. The race was jointly organized by Athletics Federation of Pakistan (AFP) and Aitchison College, where more than 100 athletes (men) from the affiliated units of AFP including Army, WAPDA, WRailways, HEC, Punjab, Sindh, KPK, Islamabad, AJ&K, Police, Gilgit Baltistan and student-athletes of Aitchison College took part. Besides Shajar finishing first and earning a cash prize of Rs. 100,000, Nadeem Ali secured second position and Rs. 50,000 and Uzair Rehman third position and Rs. 25,000. In the end, AFP Secretary General Muhammad Zafar and Principal Aitchison College Michael Thomson distributed medals and cash prizes among the winners.
