In a significant development, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) has unveiled a fresh date for the Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT 2023). This decision comes in the wake of a recent cheating scandal that tainted the integrity of the previous examination.
The authorities in the province have taken swift action to ensure a fair and transparent re-conduct of the MDCAT 2023. According to the latest update, the new examination date has been set for November 26, 2023.
Originally, Khyber Medical University had proposed November 19 as the date for the MDCAT 2023, but it has now been extended by one week.
Earlier on the same day, officials successfully thwarted a major cheating conspiracy during the tests for admission to MBBS and BDS programs. Students were apprehended in the act of using Bluetooth devices for illicitly copying answers.
Medical aspirants had resorted to unethical means by employing Bluetooth devices for cheating purposes. It is worth noting that approximately 46,658 candidates had registered to participate in the upcoming MDCAT test. However, over 219 candidates faced disqualification due to their involvement in the cheating scandal.
This decisive action taken by the authorities in KP not only safeguards the integrity of the examination process but also upholds the principles of fairness and transparency in medical and dental college admissions.
