Canada reduces dozens of Indian staffers from missions in India

Canada has reduced dozens of its Indian staffers posted in its missions in India.

A Canadian High Commission spokesperson said the slashing of the size of the Indian staff was necessary given the reduction of Canadian staff in the country.

It should be noted that the tension between the two countries started after the killing of Sikh leader Hardeep Singh Najar in Canada last year.

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, while addressing his parliament, blamed Indian government for the murder of Hardeep Singh Nagar.
