Heavy rains, flash floods kill 33 in Afghanistan

In Afghanistan, at least thirty three people have been killed and twenty seven injured due to heavy rains and flash flooding in Western Farah, Herat, southern Zabul and Kandahar and other provinces.

According to the Afghan government’s disaster management department spokesman, most casualties were from roof collapses, as some six hundred houses were damaged or destroyed and nearly 600km of road have been destroyed.
