Ahmedabad, India – In a recent development, the sale of fake tickets for the highly-anticipated Pakistan-India cricket match has come to light in Ahmedabad, India. Local authorities have apprehended four individuals involved in this illegal ticket racket.

The Pakistan-India match a marquee event scheduled to take place on October 14th at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium as part of the ICC Cricket World Cup.

According to reports from a local news agency, these counterfeit tickets sold at exorbitant prices, with some marked up to 25 times their face value.

This surge in ticket counterfeiting coincides with a significant increase in flight fares to Ahmedabad, with prices soaring fourfold. To accommodate the influx of fans, the Indian Railways has also made the decision to operate two special superfast trains connecting Mumbai and Ahmedabad.

On match day, security measures have heightened in Ahmedabad, with the entire city declared a no-drone zone. This restriction is a precautionary measure to prevent unauthorized drone flights during the high-profile Pakistan-India match.

As per the news agency’s report, a substantial security presence of 11,000 personnel will deployed on match day to ensure the safety and smooth functioning of the event.”
